??? I have dial-up and downloaded the ad-vast. I have been waiting and waiting for my code to come to my e-mail so I can use my software. I am hoping they send me one soon. Can anyone help. I am new and will be very grateful.

Hi Angel, welcome to the forums.
The name is avast! and I assume you completed the on-line registration form with your email address to send the registration key?
There is no rush, you can use the software (unrestricted) for 60 days using the Demo Key that is there by default. When the registration key comes you can then enter that and you will have 14 months use when you will need to re-register.
When did you register?
Do you have any form of anti-spam tool that might have deleted the email in error?
Try re-registering using an alterante email address.
I have downloaded Avast 4 Home use only but have not received my Key so that I can register…what do I do…please help me. I used the demo key but it denied it.

Maybe your anti-spam settings are set too high.
Have a look in your spam-folder if you have one.
Or, if nothing helps, use an other email-adress to obtain the license-key
