Can Avast be set to scan on certain time ???

Hi … i am curious as to whether avast can be set up for a certain time to do my scan and if so where might i find the setting for that ??? Also is there a way where when it does do it scan it doesn’t stop it scan if it find something and it just finish the whole scan??? What i mean i would like to set Avast to scan my computer while i am sleeping and if it finds something then i can do whatever i need to do then … Can this be done ??? Thanks

snooker,

Unfortuantely, Avast cannot be set to a schedule.
Nor can it be set to “complete” a scan before taking action on an infected file.

The reason it stops at an infected file is to limit the exposure of your computer to a potential hazard.

Assuming that no virus is found, Avast will “report” the results to you in the event that some files could not be accessed for the scan. These are usually password protected system files, or those files protected by the System Restore.

As for a “time” feature…not a bad idea.

Send the suggestion to Avast at their contact address or directly to support at support@asw.cz

Thanks.

A little correction, maybe: both of these features are present in avast! Professional.
The Home version of avast!, however, doesn’t have them.

Hi … Okay thanks for that info and i am finding this software to be real good thanks

Igor,

Thank you for the add-on.
I usually can tell by the way the questions is asked that the user has Home, but it is good to let others know about the features of Pro .

Since I have both, I guess I take their functionality for granted.
