Can avast block Windows Automatic Update?

Is it possible that some setting in avast could be blocking Windows 7 Automatic Updating? I restored a system backup the other day and now the Automatic updates doesn’t seem to be checking at boot up… I can do manual checks.

No. avast! shouldn’t interfere on Windows Update working.

Thanks, trying the Fixits, will see tomorrow morning if it checks for updates automatically.
