Can Avast for PC scan .apk files like Avast Mobile Security do?

Just wondering is Avast for PC (IS) can scan .apk files on the PC to see if they are malware?

Is Avast IS, AV database contains information about Android malware?

Is it as effective as Avast Mobile Security?
