When I try to use firefox AOS with ABP turned on, it shuts off avast.Am I suppose to use one or the other, and not both?

I have no problem using both.

For some reason my AOS quits working and I thought if might be because ABP. any idea why or what could be the cause ?

I don’t know what you mean by quits working, what symptoms ?

In the past when it was the old WebRep there were times when there times when the icon (three bars) was greyed out and or there was no icon against search results. This was generally down to problems with the back end servers, but this generally wasn’t a long term issue.

So I don’t know if this would be a possibility with the new Avast Online Security.

The circle in the navigation bar goes dark, you can click on it and nothing happens.you can go to to a search page nothing .it’s like it’s turned off.

Generally that is a problem with the back end servers, if the connection isn’t there then the data related to the site can’t be returned, so a greyed out Icon.

No such problem for me that I have noticed today.

It works good on my Vista, but not on win 7. Must be a reason.?

If there is a reason, unfortunately I don’t know it. Whilst I have win7 32bit on my acer netbook, I don’t use it a lot. But when I do the AOS add-on appears to be working as it should.

Though there are times when the icon is grey a page refresh can sometimes resolve it as it would try to refresh the AOS connection to the database.
