I had 4.x on my machine and it seemed to work well. I tried upgrading to 5.x and my machine was noticeably slower unless i disabled it. I’ve since used the removal tool to remove it completely.
Can the 4.x version still be downloaded? I only found the download for the 4.8 pro version, not the free version.
Or optionally, if there’s a fix for the slowdown I’ll be happy to reinstall 5.x

thanks - i should have waited - just got done installing avg free. I’ll give avg a try since it’s installed and then go back to 4.8 if avg gives any problems.
