Can I edit a file to block URLs ?

Hi folks,

I would like to know if it is possible to just edit a file from Avast program and add all the URL websites to be blocked at once.

I don`t want to type all URLs int the Web Shield Protection.

I just wanna do just like ad-block extension for firefox/mozilla, by importing a list.

thanks

Yes, the value Val

Property: WS–BlockUrls

at C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\Data\avast4.mdb file. :wink:
Table: LocalProperties

I wouldn’t mess with the mdb file if I were you… :wink:

You can simply block url’s by editing the hosts file on your system. If you use google and use a search string like:

block url hosts file

you will find many sites with information on how to do so.

Am I in danger? Blocked registry access? What’s the matter… just to learn ;D

Thanks Tech, I will try today.
Valeu!

Why? ::slight_smile:

Because your computer will blow up and kill your dog if you do. ;D
