Can I extend Avast Internet Security subscription period with activation code?

I have 300+ days left in avast internet security license. But I saw a deal online that will give me one year of avast internet security for a cheap price. It’s an activation code that I must purchase. So if I enter that activation code, will I lose my existing days in the subscription? I have used their codes for games and they all worked and I"m sure it will work for avast as well. But I’m worried this might make my 300+ days on the current subscription to disappear.

A subscription starts at the moment you buy it.
Entering a activation code will replace the current license.
It will not extend the time of the current license.
