Can I extend my Pro Licence?

Hello,

My Pro Licence expires in November 2010.

Can I extend that right now or do I need to wait until it expires? Also can I extend it for more then 1 year?

Also I have been thinking lately and wondering if I even really need the Pro version of Avast.

What would I be missing if I went from Pro to the Free version of Avast?

I think the better will be an email to sales (at) avast (dot) com

actually same question and i did email sales and no response, would love more info from anyone on this

I just bought the Pro 2 years for the price of 1 deal and somewhere during the purchasing process it said that the license period start date was the date of purchase, not the date of activation. Based on that, I wouldn’t buy a license now hoping to use it at a later date.

EDIT: You’ll only be missing the sandbox and Script Shield if you downgrade to Free. I’ll most likely stick with Sandoxie and only upgraded to help support the devs. I’m not sure that Script Shield is going to make much of a difference. I can’t seem to find any good information on exactly what that shield does in addition to the File Shield which AFAIK scans scripts too.

I don’t know where you have looked for the script shield info, see image extract of the help file, Real-time shields, Overview.

I don’t want to hijack this thread, but isn’t that the same exact thing the File Shield would do?

Funny because I see products in your sig too! ::slight_smile:

I use bit.ly because of the restrictions on signature length. You can always use this or this to see what the real URL is.

But mine are not clickable!

Tell me about it! I had to manually open a new tab and search Google to find out what Finjan SecureBrowsing was all about. It would have been a lot easier if you had a link to take me straight to their homepage! LOL! ;D
