Why diid you have to change the android app? It looked fabulous like it was. Now it looks childish. And too big. And too blue.

It’s horrid I agree.
Hi guys,
sorry to hear you don’t like the new Mobile Security… We offer the same protection as before, but now, the app is much more easy to use.
Of course. There’s still a lot of work ahead of us - Missing Firewall, etc… We really don’t want to lose you, but generally, most of our users are satisfied with the new version. E.g. AppLocking is unlimited, much more faster and compatible with Marshmallow… And there’s much more.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
With new looks it also is often a matter of getting used to it.
I know people who have bought a new car in another collar than their old one.
When they walked out the door to use the new car, they just stood their and where wondering “Where is my car?” because they where used to the color of the old one. ;D
Eddy has had a point
Even before the start of designing the new UI, we had been aware of the fact that people in general do not like changes and that there would be a lot of dissatisfaction when the new version is out, no matter what design we choose. We hope that users will get used to it after some time of using the app. But if the dissatisfied voices persist, we might start thinking of a new UI, of course.
Suggestion…
Make it look like George Clooney for female users and Angelina Yoli for male users
HaHaHa ;D ;D ;D
Please change it to something less cartoony. Keep material design if you must. (Not to bothered on that score keep it, don’t keep it who cares?) Remember it’s supposed to be serious. Security is serious not a cartoon. Ok just bring back the GUI of AMS 4 job done.
Oh, come on…
How many times a day you are opening avast ?
You are not opening it to see how it looks, right ?
What is more important ?
How a car looks or if it drives ?..
A futile response. It does not matter how many times I open up AMS the point is that the GUI is sub par. Now the GUI is a important part of AMS so I have every right to comment on it. Now it looks like you don’t agree which if your right. Why even grace us with your presence if you want to try and hijack the post with it’s not that bad you will get used to it. (Which is condescending at best and rude at worst) As there are plenty of other threads for you to be in. You might reply it’s a free world. That’s my whole argument right there.
There is no little icon anymore in the left corner? (up)
Android 5.0
Although I appreciate the effort and energy by the developers on this, it really looks and feels like a step backward. In total agreement with the above statement that security is serious and the app should reflect that seriousness. This new GUI just doesn’t seem appropriate for a security app at all.
Luckily I have have a backup of the old version and reinstalled that one.
Thanks.
Hi,
it’s still there if you pull the notification bar down. The icon is always visible only when there is something worth your attention though.

Hi, Ok. Thanks for info
Seriously, the look of the app look as a toy ! and now we don’t have firewall… When we will not have antivirus ? in the next version ? I prefer leave this app
The word is that the firewall will return in a upcoming version as do some other options.
Does it mean i just have to wait lol ?
never remove a firewall if you want to be safe, so here i’m not safe, so i leave
When you get rid of this silly user interface I will reinstall Avast back on all the devices.

To all who complain about the look…
Make a better design and send it to avast.
This is the worst response that can be given. This response can be translated just like this: “Do not like it? Then go out of here!”
It is a challenge.
Complaining is easy, but till now I haven’t seen anyone giving a example on how they want it to look like.
Speaking about worst response, yours sure make a change on the title.
