Can I install Avast Internet Security without the firewall component?

Can I install Avast Internet Security without the firewall component? The reason why I’m asking is that the Avast Firewall is known to be buggy as crap and causes high DPC latency which causes any number of issues including video playback and audio playback issues.

So, can I install Avast Internet Security without the firewall component?

Yes, during the installation choose custom install and untick the Firewall box.

You may only want the Pro version which doesn’t include the Firewall.

Then I think I’m going to just stay with the free version. I don’t really need the added stuff.

Have you actually tested out the firewall with the 30 day trial?

I don’t have any high latency issues and neither is it buggy.
