I think not… anyway, the problem is that on Safe Mode you can ‘generally’ only uninstall programs and not install (Windows Installer is not fully available).
But, why do you need to do so? Are you infected? Can’t you install without booting in Safe Mode?
i’d like to know if its possible to install avast home w/o the gui
i’m interested because i built my pc, and i use nlite to make recovery discs for my machine. i’d like to include avast into my recovery so i don’t have to sit and install it again manually, it can be done durring the recovery process after windows is completely installed.
Only the Professional version allows unattend (silent) installation.
The command-line scanner is present only in the Professional version of avast! (i.e. not in the Home version).
Even there, however, I don’t think it’s possible to install the command-line scanner only - all of the usual scanners are installed.
