Can I make Avast ask before moving files to the chest?

I use a set of utilities (Cygwin) that cause a lot of false positives, and it’s a hassle to have to open up the chest each time and restore the files that I need. I get way more false positives than actual malware. Is it possible to get Avast to ask me before moving files to the chest?

I would appreciate any assistance.

Not sure if you mean on a scan or in active shield but in either check in “Settings” there is selection for “Action”…default I think is set to FIX or Move…one option is ASK.

You can also add Cygwin (and/or the folder it is in) to the exclusion list.

pack the detected files .zip archive with password “virus” and send to Virus Lab through https://support.avast.com/
