Can I register for another

Hi,

First of all let me thank the Alwil Team for coming up with such a great AV program as Avast. I made the switch to the free home version three years back and has never looked back. Avast has done a great job protecting my PC from viruses.

I am from the beautiful island nation Sri Lanka and is a journalist by profession. In my spare time I run a non-profit computer repair shop at my residence. I recommend and in fact uninstall other so called “major” AV brands and installs Avast on the PCs that are brought to me.

I have broadband at my office PC and I make it a point to download the latest program of avast and VPS updates and hence I do have a copy of the latest Avast AV software at any given time with the most recent Vps update. I use these programs and updates on my clients PCs.

Sri Lanka is a very poor country where many earn less than US$ 100 per month. The owners of the many PCs that are brought in for repairs don’t have an Internet and E-mail account. Each time when I install Avast I use my own personal email address to register for the Home Version of Avast on behalf of my clients.

Is this a violation of the registration of Avast Home version? If it’s so how could I register Avast for my clients if they don’t have an e-mail account. Surely opening e-mail accounts on behalf of the clients will not be a solution.

Hope that you would be able to give me a solution.

Once again I thank you for the wonderful AV Program.

Lester, I think this is legit, ok.
You can register for another Home AND non-commercial user using your e-mail address.
Just to say that non-profit organizations are not considered ‘Home’ users. Maybe you can drop an email to sales@avast.com to know more
Welcome to avast forum and feel free to ask us - other users like you - any question you have 8)

It is a nice service you are doing for your clients, Lester … welcome to the Avast family!

Thanks for the replies guys. Avast is now becoming really popular among my friends and family. It is really picking up fast here in this tiny island Sri Lanka.
