(Don’t worry about the Webwasher-Gateway detection: it just says it’s a VB script, which it is, but a good one.

I would trust Kellys-Korner sooner than McAfee ;D there are many sites I check at site adviser that are clearly wrong, either not flagged as malicious when they should be and some flagged when they shouldn’t.

I take its results as a starting point, if you look at the detailed analysis of the 1 file it flags it is shown as a generic detection, prone to false positives.

However, the file that is flagged (Look2Me Uninstaller) is being detected as the adware that it is designed to uninstall, the Look2Me adware. So it is effectively a tool being miss identified even avast detects it but that is using a generic signature. http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/fbe2f9534c6d027cf6e2c4822dc65f2a.

Maybe you are right I have downloaded viruses from sites which it shows as safe

Yes, now a days trust is something hard earned for me, but it costs nothing to double check.

Download something, don’t execute it until you scan it with avast (and something like virustotal unless you know it is a 'trusted source).
