Can I set up Avast to move any infected files to chest without asking

I would like to be able to run Avast at night while sleeping or gone for the day. The problem is when it finds infected files I get the warning and I have to chose delete or move to chest, I always move to chest. Can Avast be set up to move any infected files to chest without me having to click on anything, this way I could leave it and it would do everything by itself

No, only in Professional version (see picture here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=13315.msg112285#msg112285).

In Home version you can check the option “Don’t show this window again” as soon as the first virus warning appears, and click on “No action” button. This way, nothing will be done and you will be presented the results at the end (and you can perform actions from there).

Well, that’s the way it is, I am afraid; you may call it a limitation of the Home Edition of avast!. In the Professional Edition, you can configure the task to perform automatic actions (or, don’t do anything).
In the Home version, you may check the “Don’t show again” checkbox in the Virus warning dialog - but only after the first virus has been found (because you won’t see the virus dialog until then).

I have pro, when I follow the instruction on the link you provided I don’t get the same thing… I have Avast version 4.8 Professional

Maybe you need to check ‘Advanced configuration’ at the bottom. I also have avast 4.8 Pro.

How are you getting to this dialog, I have nothing that looks anything like it

Go to Tasks folder.
Right click a Task (for instance, Local Disks).
Choose Properties.
Check ‘Advanced configuration’ box.

That’s just it I can’t find the task folder…lol

Are you using the Enhanced User Interface? If you using the Simple User Interface, you must switch to Enhanced User Interface, and then you should see the tasks folder.

Run ashEnhcd.exe
Top left…

Finally found it thanks

You’re welcome. Feel free to come back any time you need help or just to change experiences 8)
