Can I update avast! from local hard drive?

Hi.

Can I download antivirus base from Internet, save it to local hard drive, and update other computer from local or network folder ?

Are you talking about a network install (where you’d like the client machines to update from a central location on the LAN), or a standalone machine that is simply not connected to the Internet?

OK, for virus database updates, you download VpsUpd.exe from this page: http://www.avast.com/eng/update_avast_4_vps.html and and run it on the isolated machine.

For an update of the whole program, you download the regular setup package (http://www.avast.com/eng/down_home.html in the case of avast Home Edition) and run it on the isolated machine. It will detect that avast is already installed and offer you to update it.
