Can I use Avast Firewall and Windows Firewall?

Hi

Just finally bought Avast Internet Security after using Free for a number of years. I’m not exactly sure how this Avast Firewall thing works, is there anything I need to do the windows Firewall or will they work together?

I’m using Windows 7 Home.

i thought that avast’s firewall was integtrated with the windows firewall?

maybe it was, with avast 7, but not with avast 8?

i looked at the FAQ and it makes it sound like avast 8 has its own firewall that is independent of the windows firewall but i am thinking that is not correct…
