Can i use the same registration key for my pc and my laptop

I was wondering if i can use the same registration key for both my pc and my lap top, or do i need to get a new key. how does that work? can anyone tell me

Of course you are not able to use 1 license key for 2 PC.
One of them will detected as illegal license key.

The same key can be used on a Home system as long as it is not used for any business purpose.

Well how it works if you want a new key is you go here http://www.avast.com/eng/home-registration.php and request a new key which should only take a few minutes at most to arrive in your inbox. Then what you do is you paste the key into avast but after checking the help files what the OP is saying is wrong you can use your same keys twice look here http://support.avast.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=287&nav=0,56,57 so in effect yes you can use the same key with no problems what so ever.
