Can the free version of avast be used at a non-profit location?
I don’t think it can, a non-profit business is still a business, but I believe there may be a discount on the Pro version for non-profit organisations, etc. check with sales @ avast.com without the spaces.
See http://www.avast.com/eng/faq-registration-license.html#idt_6975
Also see here http://www.avast.com/eng/free_virus_protectio.html
So based on both of those I would say it isn’t but I don’t work for Alwil Software, check with sales.
do you mean a non-profit location as a non-profit business?
Hi bearhead001…
Yes, this is what biztalk meant. Although it’s hard to conceive of a non-profit operating as a business, I see it all the time ;D
Best Regards…
We can’t interpret what biztalk means or put words into biztalk’s mouth, we have to await biztalk’s clarification. However, I think the two links are reasonably clear on the non-profit issue, but sales is the ultimate authority no matter what we the users say.
i ment non-profit like a church.
Yes I think this would still fall outside the two references I gave, but it would be best to check with sales, if you had to get a pro license it would be a business expenditure, which you may be able to claim back.
