Can not activate the firewall on Avast Internet Security

Hi! I have difficulty activating the firewall function on my Avast Internet Security.

I also tried to activate it manually in the settings section but to no avail. I am not exactly sure how this came about, but I know this occured around the same time i got a virus downloading a torrent file. However this virus was easily fixed while the firewall problem did not. Do any of you guys have any possible solution to this problem? Thanks.

Have you tried a ‘Repair’ of the Avast installation??
