I have to disconnect avast before sending a email

I have both avast and OE6 SP2 and absolutely no problems, winXP Pro SP3.

What errors are you getting (post the full text or a screenshot of the error message) ?
Are you able to receive email with the Internet Mail provider enabled ?

What is your OS ?
What is your firewall ?
Does it allow ashMaiSv.exe internet access ?

  • If it does delete the entry for it and try to send your email, this will force the firewall to ask permission again.

Can you please also advise us of the SMTP port you are using to send your email and the security setting (if any) for that connection - for example is it set to use TLS or SSL ?

I can receive my email with out a problem.The problem is when i send a email.
