can someone tell me what this is?

Trying to connect to a work site/server. and Avast says

We’ve safetly aborted connection on…(webite site name)… because it was infected with HTML:ChaseBank-A [Phish]

Regards Brett

I have a very similar “Blocking Message” with also says “HTML:ChaseBank-A [Phish]” wenn I try to log in to a german website which has the URL wwwpj-portalde (I replaced the dots by stars). But I just encounter the Avast-Message when I try to log in. The landing-page of the website does not produce an Avast-block-message.

When I check the website with sitecheck.sucuri.net and virustotal they find nothing:

ok i see others are reporting it. using tech jargon…

im on the assumption “false positive” means that its not a virus? and its avast just programmed to say that it is?

is this the case?

Yes, that seems to be what we are all trying to find out. So far no help here :frowning:

This FP was fixed in new VPS, please update manually.

comfirm where to update. this is something that has happened over the last 7 days. just did what i thought was an update. however my avast is on automatic updates.

We have had at least one user update manually with no impact on this issue. Perhaps they didn’t do it right, but we aren’t seeing a ‘fix’ as yet …

update worked for me. Thanks!

Thanks, good to have that confirmation! We’ll keep telling folks to update and see if that gets it. Also, anyone know if this fix is also present in AVG?

update worked for me. the question is. why didnt it automatically update. oh well its done now.

It would have when the time was there …
