I usally do a through scan ...one time local disc then next on files
This is fine but I would recommend that you do a complete scan of everything at one time. Why take a chance on missing a virus in the place you do not scan!
I rarely include archives since there are so many that do not scan Well, there should not be an endless number for sure. Scanning archives is a matter of choice, but I would do it at least once a month. Personally, I have my Avast set to scan Archives each and every time.
It varies maybe a point or two ...when I started with avast it was 3.9
The difference is negligible, probably attributed to what I explained earlier.
Your Avast seems to be operating normally.
