can vrdb act as a backup

hi, i was running a network wizard and it crashed half way through, and now i can only access my pc through safe mode. i was wondering since the vrdb takes backups of system files, can it be manipulated to restore my registry. i don’t have system recovery since i shrunk my xp with nlite.

xp sp3
avast home: latest version

thanks

[edit] i can now get it to boot xp, but i have no network adaptors in control panel, but my device manager lists them all. but i am still connected to the internet wirelessly.

[edit] nevermind, the network connections service was disabled.

PLEASE CLOSE/DELETE THREAD

No, VRDB does not act as a system backup/restore.
It only allows correction of very few file infections using some info stored about the executable files in the computer.
Only 2 or 3 system files are “backuped”.
