Can you add an file to exception in avast HIPS?

Well since the new version come out, I like the HIPS component added, but how on earth you add a file to the exceptions. Because is quite annoying to click alow over and over again(if you set the HIPS to high).

Can anyone explain me how to set this new features(not very good because is hidden in menu, and lacks of configurations).

Thank you in advance.

Hips has nothing to do with files.
HIPS > Short for host-based intrusion prevention system, HIPS is an IPS or intrusion prevention system designed for security over host-based systems where intrusions and infections are dealt with at the individual workstation level to provide a more effective level of security.

You don’t give any information on the troublesome file and that doesn’t help us to help you.

You also don’t say what your other HIPS settings are. Monitor the system for ‘malware like behaviour’ and ‘Monitor the system for unauthorised modifications.’ Presumably this is the Monitor the system for 'malware like behaviour that is alerting. A screenshot would also help.

Have you tried adding it manually to the avastUI > Settings > Exclusions - File paths. Or possibly in the File System Shield exclusions as the HIPS is under that shield - but the Global Exclusions I mentioned before should also cover that.
