Can you stop notfying me about tracking erotic sites.

Avast, can you let me know what happens to the data of erotic sites visits which your software is notifying about at each access and particularly how and where that data is sent to ?

Apparently the site is tracking each site visit not just erotic sites, but any site. Where can I see whether you forward that site usage data to your Avast servers ?

Can you stop showing me daily messages such those that android was discovered to have a bug. Which your software was not installed to do.

I am looking for an replacement for this software, appreciate any suggestions for free alternatives.

And if you stop changing the interface at each update it will probably be easier to remember where all the settings are which disable these daily pop ups.

This is going all over the internet so you better watch your job.

avast doesn’t look if you visit erotic sites or not.
What do you mean by “notifying” ?

How and what data avast is collecting has been explained multiple times already.
You can look for the posts about it on this webboard and read it on the avast website.

You can only disable pop-ups in the paid versions, not in avast free.
As they say “You get what you paid for”.

The interface needs to be changed now and then.
New things are added, old things are removed, some things are not separate anymore etc.

Your telling everyone about your perverted habits has just gone all over the internet ;D ;D ;D

As one could read from the comments - this topic is a fact-free rant, that’s all that’s to it,
As you apparently not using a web proxy your click habits could go all over the Interwebs to land at someone’s desk,
and with a web proixy also, because for what you haven’t visited you do not have to fear that it is being profiled.
Some parties may use your visiting data to sell to others or to send you personalized ads.

Avast is not into this, because they haven’t got such interests.
Avast uses only anonymized data to optimize their AV software functioning.
That’s all folks, walk on, nothing to be seen here…

:o ;D

Do you mind showing me some of these privacy posts ?

I appreciate that you you need to run pops to accommodate the free version but it has gone from upgrade notifications, to monitoring the user’s site usage specifically notifying on almost each adult site visit. Plus constant pop-up bombarding on non-vendor issues like Android. I certainly don’t need an automated, enforced security industry news resident process notifier on my Windows machine.

How big is the site access data log and where it is being stored ?

Of course you are free to do whatever you want, but diligent users like myself will raise our concerns, will see how we are treated, and will look to move to other vendors if we feel the time has come.

For the sake of the free service that Avast provided in the few years it will be remembered and given as an example. But some users like myself may now be starting to consider alternatives as it is gotten a bit over the top with these pop ups.

There are several competitive companies that are looking to spread any mistreatment on avast’s part on its customers. And that is why I can demand as a customer to be answered to your best ability. You are there because of me.

I again I wish not to anger anyone and appreciate the feedback, this is just customer research which will become part of a consumer report to be spread via our networks. You will be able to locate it on our official page for sure at facebook.com/facefixxi.

Do you mind showing me some of these privacy posts, since this is research into a web report on the internet.
Yes I do mind. It is your research, not mine. I'm not gonna do your work.

You still haven’t told us what you mean with “notifying”.

Monitoring what users do is really old news.
It is being done for decades by all av vendors.

If you would have taken the time to read, you would have known that there is no such things as a “site access data log”.
What data avast collects and what they do with it is clearly explained on the website.

Could you provide a screenshot of the “tracking”?
FYI, avast does not do this type of tracking.
Have you even read the EULA?

Please, post a screenshot of the notification. Are you really visiting clean (not infected) sites?
Avast is not a monitoring software and only warns about infected sites.

If you understand what the software does you will (hopefully) change your mind. There is no mistreatment at all.

Example of notification from avast attached below:

I just wanted to add that I uninstalled Avast after started getting three times per day the notification that there is some problem with android. I only provide this feedback for your managers to get it that it has become too much and they should take a step back because a line was crossed.

Feedback is only useful if you also mention details.

This has been brought up countless times.
