Cancel subscription from two old hard drives

Hi guys,

I’ve had a look for this topic but had no luck except very old information.

I have a multi device premium subscription but am pretty close to hitting the 10 device limit and need to register a new laptop. I have two hard drives I’ve pulled from an old laptop that is now fried, issue is I was unable to de-subscribe them before the laptop died.
I’ve logged into my avast account to see if there was an option to un-sub them from there, but it appears there is not? All the information I found was suggesting un-sub them before you change hard drives. I cant even tell how many devices I have registered on my account (I know roughly), but I have laptops, phones and desktops, so would be nice to know how many I have left to use.

How can I disassociate those two hard drives with that subscription so I can put it onto my new laptop?

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

According to avast, as long as you don’t exceed 10 devices at the same time, there shouldn’t be any problems…unless the policy has changed since last summer.

OK, thanks for your replies.

avast customer service was useless, they didn’t help whatsoever and gave a generic answer which didn’t answer my question.
Hopefully that advice is still valid thank you, Chris.

Avast staff, if you read this, I won’t be renewing with you guys, your customer service is horrid.
