Did you installed Avast while logged in to an account with admin rights?
Have you already tried a repair of Avast?

Use the search function on this board for “rpc”, a lot of threads have info on it. You may find something usefull in one of them.

I thought an Admin logon was used, but the kid changed the logon names from Administrator to their names, I belive they have admin rights. Have not tried a repair yet.

Remove Avast and make sure it is installed under a accoutn with admin rights. Also make sure the rpc is started in services.

Let us know if it solved the problem.

 Thank you, problem solved.
