cannot backup certain apps

Hello everybody,

when trying to backup all the apps on my I9100G I encounter problems with some apps that are marked as “copy protected”. Only the settings are backed up, the application files themselves are not.

How come that, even under root permissions, these applications cannot be backed up?

What do you mean copy protected? Where do you see this information? Do you have nay custom ROM?

First of all: sorry for the confusion. While putting this question to this forum my browser went berserk causing three identical posts to be created.

To answer you question: No, stock rom, 4.2.1. I cann see this in the avast! backup app. Open it up navigate to “backup objects” scroll down most, choose “apps”. There you (I) can see what has not been backed up.

Some screenshot would make this clearer but we seem not to have the possibility to file one here…

You have to have a root to be able backup these applications.
