Cannot Change Password on Avast Forum Site

Have tried several times to change my password on the Forum. In each case after clicking “Save” it seems to go into an endless loop with no acceptance. Message tells me the new password is fine but it never allows it to be saved.

Where are you trying to change this password ?

Are you trying to change it from your my.avast.com account ?

I was trying to change it from the top of the forum page, under Profile/Set Password. It asks for my current password, my new password, and to re-enter the new password a second time. There are two options at the bottom of that window - “Save” and “Cancel”. When I click “Save”, a circle spins, appearing like it is working on it, but it never completes.

Try doing it from the my.avast.com site (your avast account) it may recognise you are logged in on the forum so it should open your account.

My image extract is from my avast account on my.avast.com, as you can see from my image there is an option to Change Password.

The password function is somewhat strange, in that if you logon to the forum.avast.com then that logon is validated against another location. In trying to do it from the forum, it would have to connect to the site that does the user and password validation, it may not be able o connect.

I would certainly suggest using the my.avast.com account to change your password.
