cannot delete history or use system restore

hi peeps,

can anyone help me i am running the latestet version of Avast also comdo firewall and super antisapyware

i appear to be infected as i cannot change my clock delete history or internet files add or remove programs bluetooth has stopped working as well

i have tried several system restores all of which have failed to work (computer says it cannot restore to
the selected point)

Any ideas ??/ ??? ???

I suggest you try the free version of MalwareBytes’ Anti-malware (MBAM) to see if this will help your problem. You can find it at the link below.

Are you logged as an administrator or common user?

I suggest:

  1. Disable System Restore and then reenable it again.
  2. Clean your temporary files.
  3. Schedule a boot time scanning with avast with archive scanning turned on. If avast does not detect it, you can try DrWeb CureIT! instead.
  4. Use SUPERantispyware, MBAM or Spyware Terminator to scan for spywares and trojans. If any infection is detected, better and safer is send the file to Quarantine than to simple delete than.
  5. Test your machine with anti-rootkit applications. I suggest avast! antirootkit or Trend Micro RootkitBuster.
  6. Make a HijackThis log to post here or, better, submit the RunScanner log to to on-line analysis.
  7. Immunize your system with SpywareBlaster or Windows Advanced Care.
  8. Check if you have insecure applications with Secunia Software Inspector.

You might try running System Restore from safe mode. I had the same thing happen on a system I was working on, and this worked for me.
