The account used for remote installation does not have user rights to delete files on the remote comnputer, is it possible ?

It seems that it was not the first attempt to install remotely to that computer, what was the result of first attempt ?

same errors… after a bit of handling user rights i’ve managed to deploy it… but the on access scanner doesn’t enable itself and the log says : Cannot obtain TCP/IP protocol due to winsock error 0x00002AFC …

So the service doesn’t start? And which one is it - the ‘avast! antivirus’ or the ‘avast NetAgent’? (check in Administrative Tools → Services).

BTW do you use DHCP? Do you have reverse DNS lookup enabled? And what is the OS on the clients?

Thanks
Vlk

that’s the net agent!, i use DHCP and DNS with reverse enabled, client OS is WinXPP SP1

So this is just on one machine or does it happen on all of them.

It’s quite strange. This error is generated only in one place in the program, and it’s pretty severe. Namely, it means that WinSock failed to initialize correctly (which is quite rare)…

Maybe the server is trying to start too early…?

Can you start the service manually from the Services applet? Does that work?

Thanks
Vlk

i just unistalled and reinstalled and that pc works fine now… ???
