Cannot enable GPS by demand on Galaxy Ace (rooted)

Hi, I’m having problems to get the coordinates of my phone via SMS in my Samsung Galaxy Ace. I installed Anti-Theft in the root, and when I send ‘password LOCATE’ the phone activates the WI-Fi and GPS (there’s no Wi-Fi network available) but no coordinates are returned but a message with a timeout issue. I want to know how to retrieve the GPS location.

Thanks in advance!

PD: Just found out that in System Status it says: ‘GPS No’.
Maybe Anti-Theft doesen’t recognise my GPS…

the timeout just means that the phone doesnt find any location.

Thank for your answer, I suppose it means that but my gps works perfectly. I want to know how to solve the problem. Thanks

hm you have GPS: No - did you disable GPS. Try to enable it and see if it works then.

I´ve also tried that, but the idea of installing in root is that Avast will automatically turn on your GPS…

Just want to know if you then (after enabling GPS) still get a timeout!

Hi!
Absolutely the same problem with Samsung GT-S5660.
Anti-Theft v. 1.0.1999

… And GPS is enabled

Hey

Is there any solution to this problem ?
