Cannot exclude Photoshop.exe from Sandbox

Hi, AVAST newbie here:

We’re evaluating Avast! Small Office Administration (can’t even find a version number on the Admin console) which installs Endpoint Protection Suite 7.0.1455 on the workstations.

When I try to run Photoshop 7.0 on my Windows 7 PC, AVAST tells me that photoshop.exe is suspicious, then it says that it has finished analyzing the program and asks to open in the sandbox or normally. When I try to open it normally it (or in the sandbox) it fails to launch. I have added the Photoshop directory to the exclusion list on the client side. Even after that it keeps analyzing the program each time I run it. If I check the exclusion settings I see that the Photoshop exclusion has been removed. I have scanned the Photoshop directory and the .exe file manually to see if AVAST will leave it alone!

Do I have to set the exclusion settings on the server via the Admin Console? I can’t see where to do that. I have searched the forums and the knowledge base and subsequent related articles but cannot find the answer I’m looking for.

Thanks in advance,
Marty
