Cannot find Software Updater

I had to download and reinstall all of my programs, including avast!, following difficulties with Windows 10 upgrade. I understand Software Updater should be found within ‘Scan’. I see ‘SmartScan’ and ‘Scan for viruses’ only. What should I do?
