Running xp pro sp3, using outlook express 6. Avast 5.0.418. I upgraded to Avast 5 from 4.
I was using Stunnel with Avast 4 but have changed all the settings using 127.0.0.1 to the pop and smtp settings because do not need Stunnel with Avast 5.
I get the following msg when I try to get my emails.
The server responded with an error account a1g@sbcglobal.net, server pop sbcglobal.yahoo.com, protocol pop3, server response -ERR cannot connect to pop server 68.142.229.14 (68.142.229.14:110) connect error 10061 port 110, secure (SSL): no , server error 0x800ccc90, error number 0x800ccc90.
If I disable Avast mail scanner I can get my emails.
Avast is setup for SSL as follows in advance settings.
yahoo.com pop3 995 SSL
yahoo.com smtp 465 SSL
In outlook, outgoing box is setup to 25 and this server requires a secure connection is not checked (SSL).
Inbox is setup to 110 and this server requires a secure connection is not checked (SSL).
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Avast 5 and the same problem is still there.
I do not have emproxy.exe or any McAfee products on my computer or Norton.
Any ideas?
