Good day
last week ive made a system restore and my avast didnt work
after that, i tried to uninstall and it didnt work also, so i tried to delete files manually
when i tried to re install, theres always an error and it says i should restart my PC
ive even tried to restart but to no avail
ive even try to us scwClear but it has an error also.
my old avast was v.5
i tried to install v5 and v6 but still doesnt work,
help me please. thank you
Im not able to get to avast support to get you the download link for the avast removal tool at the moment due to 404 error but you can grab the removal tool from here also, you need to run the tools in safe mode followed by reboots inbetween, the version 6 tool can remove all versions by scrolling to the versions you had installed, reboot back to normal mode when done and install a fresh copy of avast.
Ive downloaded already the scwclear file (uninstaller program from avast) and run it in safe mode.
still doesnt work.
could please suggest how to post log file about error? so you could see?

when I ran the uninstaller, it cannot remove the program because there was an error.
so it wasnt a complete uninstall.
Log files can be posted by using the attachment and other options at the bottom of where your composing your posts.
What system are you using?
You can also try restoring to before you made your last restore point or before avast was installed.
I use WIN 7 OS,
anyway, avast 6 miraculously worked, ???
i dunno what happend, i tried to reinstall and suddenly worked.
