Cannot load Win8.1 after Grimecrime optimization

Dear all,

does anybody could help me? after running the Grimecrime the optimization was done and after reboot it seems that win 8.1 is going to load but it didn´t. I got stucked on a black screen, and cannot reach any of my files. Only option that I got is to restore the laptop to factory defaults but in this case all data will be erased. How can I go trrough this issue and get by system back?

See if you can get to your UEFI settings and change the boot order. You should see Windows and Grimefighter. Make Windows the first boot device.

If you can boot to Windows go to Control Panel and Uninstall Grimefighter.

unfortunatelly I already did this one without any success. Windows start to load and then it freezes on a black but illuminated screen.

Download the Windows 8.1 install media here. Make sure to pick the same version as what you have.

You can burn the iso file or use Rufus to create a bootable USB flash drive.

tks, but I had to format my laptop do gain access again. I did the procedure that you mentioned, but by some reason it didn´t worked
