Cannot move to chest

Hi there, please please help!!

Avast found 5 viruses after scanning yesterday but was unable to move them to chest. I ran bootscan and successfully moved them to chest.
Today I ran another scan, it found viruses, and is again unable to move them, except one. These are the messages I get:

C:\SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION.…TclIB Infection: WIN32:Spyware-gen (tri) Error occurred moving file to chest: The operation is not supported for this type of archive
C:\SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION.…Icon.Icon.exe Infection: WIN32: Trojan-gen (Other) Error occurred moving file to chest: The operation is not supported for this type of archive
C:\SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION.…Icon.Icon.exe Infection: WIN32: Adware-gen (Adw) Error occurred moving file to chest: The operation is not supported for this type of archive

This one was moved:

C:\SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION.…A0077635.exe Trojan-gen (Other) File successfully moved to chest

How can I get rid of these and have a clean uninfected computer again? I installed and ran a scan this morning with SuperAntiSpyware (before Avast scan) and it found nothing :frowning:

Please help, my computer is my lifeline, since I use it all the time for work, I’m a freelance translator.

All suggestions gratefully received…

I suggest you disable System Restore (cannot be disabled in Win9x, and Me. Not available in Win2000.)

Disabling System Restore will clear all the restore points including the infected ones. Restart your computer and re-enable system restore. After that, create a clean restore point.

Thanks, seems to have worked for now
