Hi,
I have read over and over, many posts from many people having similar problems. But unfortunately, where it failed on them, it is also failing on me.
I am at my wits end, I don’t have enough spare storage to backup and wipe the PC, and I cannot remove Avast in its entirety.
I have uninstalled Avast, only to find it was not removed entirely, so I tried again. That eventually led me to AvastClear and Rejzors Uninstall tool. I also tried Revo Uninstaller.
I am now left with a message popping up every time I start Win XP Pro SP3 “Avast Service has been stopped”
Are there any older version of Rezjors Uninstall Tool available? I can’t find them. Unfortunately I don’t know what version of Avast was on it, as I have been away for a year.
I cannot run another installer, and It is causing my PC to bluescreen quite often.
It looks like it may now cost me some money, as, I may have to buy an external Hard Drive to backup the PC.
Can anyone help please?
Eddy

Hi Eddy, and thanks for your reply,
I am unable to install it, I get the error:
Corrupted avast! Antivirus detected.
The installer has detected corrupted avast! Antivirus installation on this computer (service 'aswSP' is running), thus the installer cannot continue. Please repair your computer first.
Is there any way/what is the best way, to manually stop avast from running?

Got it.
Used WMIC.
I had to uninstall Chrome and Visual C+ Runtime files first.
Currently Installing latest version of Avast. At last…
