Cannot Remove Browers Add-ons

Good evening.

Avast shows two browser add-ons that should be removed (cpbrkpieControl and MsiProductinfoClass). However, when I try to remove them Avast stops and say I must restart and “Run as the Administrator.” I am the administrator, and it appears they came through when I was using Internet Explorer! They appears to be one-star, low- level add-ons but I want them gone!

Have checked the control panel and also Google but cannot fine anything on the two.

Any help or suggestions as to how I can get rid of these two would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have IE 8, but don’t use it. Tell me if your version is not similar. Click on the IE toolbar, click on Tools>Internet Options>Programs. There should be a button there on the bottom for managing add-ons.

If you find the IE add-ons anemic, switch to Firefox, which has literally thousands of them. I have 29.
