Cannot run OLEACC.DLL

Hi.

I wanted to try out Avast!4 H.E. ,but i encountered a problem. When i try to run Avast i get an error message that states that Win. can’t run OLEACC.DLL. I’ve replaced the original OLEACC.DLL with the one that can be downloaded from dll-files.com, but i still get the error message.

Did anyone else encounter this?

Running regsvr32 oleacc.dll might be worth trying, too…

The most straightforward (and reliable) way to solve this problem is:

  1. Uninstall avast
  2. Delete (or rename or move) the file \windows\system32\oleacc.dll
  3. Install avast

That will do it.
