Can someone help an almost 60 year-old sometime computer user?
I ran my scan this morning (Avast 4.6 Home edition) and selected check archive files.
I got a message re the file…\flash.ocx. “CAB archive corrupted; cannot scan.” I tried the Microsoft website but it’s too technical for me.
And what does the flash.ocx do anyway?
Well, some archives are indeed corrupted, but majority of them are protected (InstallShield CAB packages)

Flash.OCX is an ActiveX object installed with Internet Explorer, and is used to display Flash objects on the web.

So, I’d say - don’t worry about it. It’s nothing “bad” or dangerous.
