Cannot scan files

I seem to get a lot of messages like this in my scan reports:

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\Perflib_Perfdata_41c.dat [E] The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process (32)

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\FK9QF3VI\valert[1].ui\CmnIds.vbs [E] Archive is password protected. (42056)

I have no idea what these files are or what to do about them. Help!

some programs secure their data by password protecting them , this doesnt mean they are bad, it just means they cant be scanned,
as you may notice this temp file is just an archive so the likelyhood of it being bad is low.
you should clean these up every so often . If you dont have a cleaning program like CCleaner or CLEANUP then use Disk Cleanup. you will find it under accessories / system tools/

Quite normal… this file is in use by Windows. If you have Windows XP you need to use boot time scanning.

As Cloussau said, could be normal. It won’t harm if you delete this file either…
