Cannot set the firewall on my Androit (it is rooted)

Hi all,
I just installed Avast Mobile on my Xperia Tipo ST21i because I wanted to set a firewall on it. I’ve rooted my mobile OS, but it still asking for the root privileges. It says that probably I have to active the permission to avast for execute SU commands or something like that.

How can i solve this problem?

Hi,

so… if you try to enable the firewall, do you get a dialog from your SU application that Mobile Security requests root permissions?

Filip

Yeah, or something like this. somewhere there must be a setting to enable to avast to execute SU commands. But don’t know where…

Hi,

run SuperUser (should be app on your device), you will find the settings there.

Filip

No, I don’t have this app. I only have settings-security-device administrators… But I don’t have the option there.

Hi,

how do you know it is rooted then? What other rooted apps work on your device?

Filip

I know that is rooted because I rooted

I’ve downloaded the SU app but it says that there isn’t any SU installed in the binary… Strange

The device seems not properly rooted then. What tools did you use to root the device? Almost all of them install the SuperUser app after successful rooting automatically.

Filip

Now I’m at school, I’ll link you later.

This is it:http://uploaded.net/file/0fpyh5c5

Hi,

can you upload it somewhere else? I can’t access it.

Filip

Hi,

are you sure that it worked? Because if it did, you’d have to have SuperUser application installed on your phone. It should be visible where all the other apps are. Basically this SuperUser app allows other apps’ access to the ‘su’ binary and therefore allows them to execute commands with root privileges.

From what I’ve seen in the script, it should write something like “Successful, going to reboot your device in 10 seconds!” or “Good, it worked! Now we are rebooting soon, please be patient!” to the console.

Ondra

It rebooted it and also showed me the “successful” message, but right now I’m not sure if it really worked.

For Filip, I don’t know where to upload it. The name of the program is: “Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18”, maybe you can manage to find it

Yeah, Ondrej downloaded it so no need to reupload it anywhere  You might need to try rooting the device again then.

Filip

It didn’t work… I tried to reboot, but nothing has changed. So I unroot and reroot again, but same story…

When you rooted your phone, the SuperSu app is installed.

I didn’t get it

It’s not rooted, but the program fail to root it. It says “successful” but it doesn’t install the SU app

Ok, let’s do this way: suggest me a program that you know for root my android and let’s see if there’s any difference
