I have removed avast with avast removal tool in safe mode i then rebooted downloaded and install avast free version seven i cannot update why

what should i try

You don’t say what errors you are getting ?

But is most commonly the firewall blocking the avast update.

What is your operating system and firewall ?
Does it allow avast.setup internet access ?

  • If it does delete the entry for it and reconnect to the internet, this should force the firewall to ask permission again.

Hi my avast ran out and i have been trying to down load again.I download o.k. and then i get an error message aavm system detected an error on rpc help

hey you should start a new topic instead of entering another on.

but i suggest you try a clean installation from scratch and see if that help you out. any other security programs that could block avast from updating like a third party firewall?
