Stupid question… have you changed the name in the console link?
The link must be
https://SERVERNAME.DOMAIN.local:8732/
or
<your_server_name>/avast/Service.aspx

Yupe I know is a stupid question and I know to change the server_name.
I have done with https://<SBC_PC_Name>:8732/ or with /avast/service.aspx
the message on the browser is “Bad request (invalid hostname)”
I even browse https://<new_ip_address>:8732 and the problem is still occure

Another stupid question…
It’s possible that you have to update the nameserver/IP adress in IIS, SQL & DNS?
Check inside the files under this folder
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\application data\AVAST Software\Administration Console
there’re some reference to nameserver, must be updated
Have you tried to make an repair install of Avast BP console?

When we changed our domain name and server name I decided that the easiest course was to uninstall/reinstall the BP console because I would have spent too much time hunting down each reference to the old server name and domain name.

OK, Thanks fyi.
Have you tried to make an repair install of Avast BP console?
Not yet, if Changing the config will solve the problem I will not repair the BP console

Hello SPI,
try the newest avast! Administration Console release, it should solve all problems regarding hostname/IP address change. Please tell me if that doesn’t help. Thx. Jan

Hmmm, is anybody still experiencing similar problems and wanting to cooperate on their solution?
