I have the latest version of Avast Premier and have noticed that on one site in particular Avast blocks the site with the message “Did you mean XX?” “This is probably not the site you want to enter”
Under the latest revision of Avast it now only gives me the option to click YES whereas the previous release had the option for YES and NO which meant that I could reject the site Avast incorrectly thinks I want to go to.
What you were being asked to do is edit the link in your post and replace it with “x’s”…in case it’s malicious, and someone without proper security clicks on it and gets infected.
That said, I pasted the URL into WOT’s reputation checker, and the site does not have any reputation history.
Does anyone know how I can just turn this feature off?
I searched for previous similar issues and saw that it may come under Browser Protection but I can’t find this option within the settings menu of Avast
You’d want to disable the SiteCorrect feature there.
(But I would say the detection is correct here - the page you are trying to enter looks like a usual parking page made for possible mis-spell victims, very suspicious, so ordering anything from there is… well, up to you.)
