Hello all,
I have a problem when trying to activate the activation code for Avast Internet Security. The format of the code is: XXXX-XXXXXXXX-XXXX
in capital letters and numbers. I enter the code and a message says “something went wrong…”, and that’s it.
Can somebody help me?

Yes, we are working on a fix, meanwhile please install older offline version and enter the key there. And then update to latest version.

Same problem for me. Uninstalled using avastclear then used the link to old IS version and had the same result.
Did you update after installing the Older version ??? Did you restart the system after the update ???

If you bought it in store, there is another problem, that will be fixed next week. So if you wish you can wait a little more. Sorry for the complications.
i bought Avast for the first time after many years with Norton. Fry’s had a great deal on Pro Anti virus. But not such a great deal when the activation code doesn’t work. Stores will not accept returns of opened software. Hope this issue is repaired soon. solution from Avast Technical support was to buy a license form them… really ???
